Meeting date: 20/02/2020
An updated schedule regarding the above item was handed out at the meeting.A copy is attached to the minutes.
It was noted that a meeting took place on the 3rd of February 2020 at the Leibrandt van Niekerk Hall in Table View.The synopsis of the meeting is included under the comments from the responsible officer.
The Subcouncil Manager referred to the comment from Mr Michael Webster (Executive Director:Water and Waste) on the hand out stating that a summary report on the issue as committed by the Deputy Mayor has been sent to the Milnerton Residents Association.Monthly updates will be provided to Subcouncil 3 and 15 as from March 2020.
It was also noted that Mr Webster stated that they are in the process of establishing a team to respond systematically to the issues and a full report will be available in March 2020.
Councillor Nicky Rheeder (Ward Councillor: Ward 107) reminded the Subcouncil that the updated electronic educational material in respect of the prevention of foreign objects ending up in the sewer system is still outstanding.She requested the Subcouncil Manager to regularly follow up on the outstanding material.

At a previous Subcouncil meeting it was requested that Ms Cleophas submit educational material to the Subcouncil in respect of the prevention of foreign objects ending up in the sewer system.
It was noted that the educational material was received and it will be distributed to the Councillors.

The requested educational material was received and distributed to the Councillors on the 23rd of July 2020 and the 25th of August 2020.
It was noted that items 03SUB 09/06/2020SM and 03SUB 10/07/2020 on the MRA schedule will be combined with item 03SUB 09/01/2020.
