Mr Saul Jacobs represented the Property Department.
UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED to RECOMMEND that:

Erven 13126, 3136, 13019 and 13073 Cape Town Bounded by Melbourne Road, Earl Street and Victoria Walk, Cape Town measuring 15610.39 m² in extent, indicated as ABCDEF on the plan SZC 1429 marked Annexure A attached to the report, be reserved for the HousingDevelopment Department, subject to the following conditions:

The subject property shall be utilised for the purpose of Social Housing only;

The said Department accepts full responsibility for the management and maintenance of the subject property including, utility consumption, security and contents insurance.

Housing development Department (Directorate: Human Settlements) takes cognisance of and adheres to the conditions stated by the service branches in paragraph 9 below.

All costs related to the reservation shall be for the account of the Housing Development Department.

That Erf 13137, Cape Town Bounded by Golders Green Road, measuring 4105 m² in extent, on the attached plan SZC 1429 marked Annexure A attached to the report, be exempted from reservation as it is a well-used public park which should be retained for the use by the community
