That it be NOTED that an application for the renewal of extended liquor trading hours (off-consumption) in respect of Pick ‘N Pay Sunningdale, Shop 1, West Coast and Sandown Road, Sunningdale, for Monday to Saturday trading from 18:00 to 20:00 and Sunday 11:00 to 18:00 was APPROVED under sub delegated authority by the Subcouncil Manager, in consultation with the Chairperson of Subcouncil 3 and Ward Councillor and that the following decision was taken on 17 October 2019.

That the application for the renewal of extended trading hours (off-consumption) submitted by Pick ‘N Pay Sunningdale, Shop 1, West Coast And Sandown Road, Sunningdale, for Monday to Saturday trading from 18:00 to 20:00 and Sunday 11:00 to 18:00 BE APPROVED as it complies with the criteria included in the City of Cape Town: Control of Undertakings that Sell Liquor to the Public By-Law, 2013.

Should complaints be received concerning noise and/or unruly behaviour of patrons, these complaints will be investigated and may result in the extended trading hours being withdrawn and will also be referred to the Western Cape Liquor Authority which may jeopardise the renewal of the liquor licence.

The applicant must ensure that no sale of liquor is made directly to or via a third party to unemployed and/or homeless persons occupying public open spaces in the vicinity of Pick ‘N Pay Sunningdale, Shop 1, West Coast and Sandown Road, Sunningdale.

This approval is also subject to compliance with all relevant by-laws of the City of Cape Town.

This approval will be valid for 12 months from the date of the decision subject to the possession of a valid liquor licence.
