PROGRESS REPORT ON THE REVIEW OF THE INFORMALTRADING PLAN FOR GATESVILLE.

Review of informal trading Plan in Gatesville.

Solicit support readdress the challenges in the Gatesville CBD

The idea is to include and identify more opportunities.

Traffic congestion impact on traffic and a study was conducted and options presented e.g. traffic survey, pedestrian count, public transport and informal trading.

Public Participation process will be undertaken and informal traders’ concerns addressed to comply with City Policy.

Trading plan should be accompanied by the Enforcement Unit that will regularly enforce the law.
Ald. Antonio van der Rheede requested that Ward Cllr A Cassiem continuously be engaged and that project be included as ACT item and line Departments be invited to the meetings. |
