PROGRESSIVE CAPITAL EXPENDITURE: SEPTEMBER 2019

Ms F Salie reported that a quotation for the consultants was received by the department amounting to R161 518.78 excluding vat and once all the SCM administration process has been finalised for the appointment, the relevant stakeholders as well as the Councillor will be consulted by the Consultants to give inputs.

The Ward Councillor also requested that once the conceptual design is completed, the line department compile a business plan and submit an application for USDG funding to implement the upgrading recommendations.

Ms Kayise Nombakuse informed the Subcouncil members that the Director of SDECD Alphonso Sauls has agreed that SDECD will support MURP Women for Change Programme.

Drivers Licence Program for ward 40 will be 14 beneficiaries that will participate on the program, SCM issued purchase order.
Heritage Event: Councillor B Ngcombolo will have event organiser, list of artist groups, the group must have bank details, constitution of organisation. Meeting scheduled 21 /10/2019 @16:00 to 17: 00 in Vuyani clinic. Only group representatives of various Artist groupings will attend the meeting. Councillor confirmed that he will book the hall and system.
Capacity Building - Ward 40 SCM has advertised RFQ awaiting purchase orders
Upgrade Parks - Ward 44-Contractors on site
16 Days of Activism - Ward 44- event scheduled 28/11/2019
Upgrade Parks - Ward 46-SCM Process, Site meeting for supply and Install Multipurpose court is on the 17.10.2019.
Sport Carnival - Ward 46 -RFQ for sports equipment compiled. SCM processes being followed.
Capacity Building - Ward 46- Events was held 8,17,23,25, 26 and 27 September 2019.
Upgrade Parks - Ward 47- Created Orders for professional services and the design/layout plan for Surran Road Park
Christmas Lights - WPX.0011311 Ward Allocation Project in ward 47 commitment of R99 342.24: motifs will be installed in mid-November 2019 and be removed in the third week of January 2020.
Subcouncil Manager informed the members that she held meetings with Cllr B Ngcombolo and Cllr A Cassiem and their ward allocation 2020/2021 control documents are in the process of being finalised. She said that she has scheduled meetings with Cllr A Moses and Ald. Antonio van der Rheede in the fourth coming week to conclude their 2020/2021 ward allocation projects proposals for feasibility and costing by various Line Departments.
