Cllr X Ndongeni stated that a request was made to the relevant department to submit a report with regards to the development of the new Multi – Purpose Centre in ward 106, but would like to know why is the report still not included in the agenda. Mr. Miller indicated that the department commented that a report will be submitted after all investigations were conducted. Mr. K Miller will follow up with the relevant department. Cllr M Adonis confirmed that a meeting was held with regards to the establishment of the Delft informal trading plan and indicated that the outcome was very positive. Mr. Miller requested a follow up discussion on the Additional R150 000 for Ward Allocations which was resolved at the Subcouncil 5 Meeting held on 14th August 2019, and requested clarity with regards to the identified projects: Ward 24 - Holiday programme - which line department is the project assigned to. * Cllr A Abrahams confirmed that the department is Social Development and Mr. Abobarka Abrahams and Mrs. Norma Aloile are the contact persons. Ward 31 – Learner License programme and Computer Training * Ald. T Thompson indicated the contact department will be Social Development. Ward 106 – Youth at risk programme * Cllr X Ndongeni indicated that he has met with Social Development and that a follow up meeting will be held with the department. There was a unanimous agreement that a discussion will be held after the Subcouncil meeting to discuss the way forward with regards to the 905 projects.
The following was agreed with regards to R4 million MURP funding for wards 31 and ward 106: Ward 31 – The R500 000 that was allocated to the Recycling Project be reallocated for the beautification of the entrance into Golden gate and for area cleaning Ald T Thompson agreed on the proposal Ward 106 – The R250 000 which was allocated for the Recycling Project be reallocated to the Beautification of the entrance into Ward 106 and the R200 000 that was allocated to the Cleaning of the Ablution facilities be reallocated to Area Cleaning projects.
