Subcouncil 24 SUPPORTS the recommendations that:
It is recommended that erf 708 Macassar situated at off Macassar Road, in extent 315 288 m2 and as indicated as ABCDEF on Plan EZ 101 attached as Annexure “A” be reserved for the Environmental Management Department, subject to the following conditions, that:

The subject property shall be utilized for the purpose of conservation of the larger Macassar Conservation Area, for environmental education, recreation and conservation purposes;

The Environmental Management take responsibility for the required land use processes, as well as compliance with the any related legislation;

The said Department accepts full responsibility for the management and maintenance the land and any structure to be erected thereon, including maintenance, utility consumption, security and content insurance, as is applicable;

That all costs related to the above be provided for by the Environmental Management Department.

That no structures be permitted over the existing sewer pipelines.
