Resolution detail

Mr Cedras informed the members that 3 Facility Officer post are in the process of be filled, currently busy with interviews. He said the departmental emphasis is on maintenance and less of recreation programmes in community facilities which is mostly needed in the communities. Operational Standards at facilities are in place daily and weekly.
 
  • Cllr Antonio van der Rheede raised concern of the programmes at the facilities and said the quality need to be redesigned, no effort to run programmes.
  • After school quality programme has dipped tremendously
  • Health & Safety no toilet rolls in toilets.
  • Cllr Nqavashe raised concern that the EPWP worker has been removed from NY 131 park and thugs are operating in the park and steeling the fence. Cllr Nqavashe asked the Line officials if they applied for EPWP labour because he noticed that the Gugulethu cemetery workers are walking the streets and have been unemployed for the last 90 days.
  • Cllr Ngcombolo requested that a park warden be employed at NY 110 park.
  • Mr Cedras informed the members that the issue of water restriction relax is included in the Capital funding process.
  • Jungle Park is managed by Robert van Rooyen, Head of projects and feedback pertaining to future planning and funding model need to be addressed with Mr van Rooyen.
  • Cllr Antonio van der Rheede proposed a meeting with Ms F Salie.
