RESEVATION OF PORTIONS OF ERVEN 108359, 106637 AND 40214 CAPE TOWN: THE DIRECTORATE URBAN MANAGEMENT (AREA CENTRAL)

Ms A Abrahams informed the Subcouncil that the report is submitted in terms of Section 17 of the Policy on the Management of Certain of the City of Cape Town Immovable Property to the Director. Property Management to consider the following application for the reservation of municipal property. –Reservation Catergory 1 New Reservation (New project/Operational) requirements usage Urban Farming (Hydroponics/Aquaponics).

She said the Line department did public participation engagements, Corporate Newspapers, local newspapers and abutting neighbors

The members made the following comments

Municipality must engage the political structure.

Arrange a site visit to all the reserved portion of Erven 108359, 106637 and 40214 Cape Town.
Line department submit a disposal list way before item serve at the Subcouncil.
Cllr Cassiem informed the members that property abutting the mosque Erf 106637 was applied for parking.

RESOLVED

Subcouncil members agreed that item be DEFERRED to the next Subcouncil meeting to clarify issues of concern and a site visit be arranged. .
