Resolution detail

That Subcouncil 10 recommends that the application for a consumption ON Premises liquor licence reference NO.: LLA19020015, for business Semi’s place restaurant NOT BE SUPPORTED, based on the following:

The subject property is zoned Single Residential 2, which zoning does not permit sale of alcohol beverages or taverns (sale and on-site consumption of alcohol). An application for temporary land use departure by land use to an appropriate zone must therefore be submitted to and approved by land use management department in order for tavern (on-site sale and consumption of alcohol) to occur therefrom.

It be noted that an application for a liquor licence received from Siwa’s restaurant was considered in terms of sub-delegated authority and that the following recommendation was forwarded to the Liquor Authority in terms of the Western Cape Liquor Act, 2008, as amended
