The Subcouncil Manager informed the members that Ward Committee training was held on the 16 February 2019 at Cathkin Community Hall Heideveld and was attended by 19 WC members. The report also intended to inform members of the Subcouncil regarding financial cost incurred by the Subcouncil. The purpose of the training • To capacitate the ward Committee Members to participate more in Council decision making and activities of the Subcouncil. • To entrench deeper understanding of council legislative process • To highlight protocol; role of Ward Committee Members to bring governance closer to the people and report service delivery matters for the attention of the municipality RESOLVED: The members NOTED the report.
