Goodman Rorwana reported that the lights were repaired but that the issue of the installation of the gate flowed out of this which was to stop unnecessary people from entering the park.
Cllr Peck stated that installing the gate is not going to solve the problem. The globe is repaired but the glass covering the globe is not repaired. In order to solve the problem is they should put a wire mesh and bolt it over the front of the glass of the light to prevent children from throwing stones at the lights.
RESOLVED
That the proposal made by Cllr Peck be forwarded to the Electricity Department to have wire mesh fit over the front of the glass of the light.
That the item REMAINS on the MRA’s.
