RESOLVED
Subcouncil 24 supports the recommendation:
That it is RECOMMENDED that the motion submitted by Cllr G Peck be supported and that the Subcouncil approach the Public Participation Department to investigate whether signboards could be erected in the following Somerset West areas i.e Somerset West Library, Somerset West Town Hall, Somerset West Council offices, Southey Vines-Somerset West, Sir Lowry’s Pass, Chris Nissen Park, Lourencia Park and Garden Village. These signboards are to be used for posting notices of public participation and where Councillors can also post notices of public meetings. Many residents do not purchase the local newspaper and need to find other ways of informing

Activity Day Meeting – 6 October 2021
Goodman Rorwana reported that the requisition has been created for the signboards and waiting on the purchase order from SCM and once it has been created then the delivery will be done.
Cllr Peck stated that once the boards have been erected to inform the PPU to utilise the boards and to put up the notices for the public to see.
RESOLVED
The Subcouncil to follow-up with the PPU department whether the purchase order was created.
That the item REMAINS on the MRA’s.

MATTERS RECEIVING ATTENTION FOR WARDS 15 AND 84
The Subcouncil Manager explained that Ward 15 and 84 was previously part of Subcouncil 24 and therefore all the matters receiving attention was carried over to Subcouncil 8. Cllr Peck and McFarlane, the ward councillors of ward 15 and 84 said that these matters could be dealt with directly with the line departments at a separate meeting that will be arranged by the Subcouncil office therefore it be proposed that the Matters Receiving for Wards 15 and 84 be closed.
RESOLVED
That all the matters receiving attention relating to Wards 15 and 84, BE CLOSED.
