RESOLVED
At the meeting held on 17 January 2019 held between the MAYCO Member of Transport, Ald F Purchase, the following was agreed discuss as the way forward:
•Mark Pinder to enquire from Province re progress/status of this project;
•Once approved in principle, a task team to be appointed to drive the project with representative from Subcouncil 2 & 7;
•Ald Purchase to raise the issue at her weekly meeting with Min Donald Grant;
•Henry du Plessis to ensure that this is on the agenda for the February Joint SANRAL/Province/City meeting;
•It was agreed that this project needs to be prioritised together with the project in South to link with the R300;
•Mark indicated that the project with regards to the bulk water main relocation on the N1/Okavango needs to be finalised as this will impact on the R300 project;
•Lenn Fourie has been appointment project manager by Province;
•The plans for the extension & links have been approved already and funds are available to start the project;
•It needs to be borne in mind that an expropriation process and transfer of private properties currently within the road reserve as well as an EIA would need to be included in the timelines

The farmers started to clean the area after a meeting was held with them. A follow up inspection will take place on 19 March 2019.

RESOLVED unanimously
a) that the report on the latest information on the state of erf ST20-19RE, Corner of Maroela and Botfontein Roads, Wallacedene BE NOTED.
b) That although the process of legal action cannot be stopped, in the meantime an urgent meeting with the farmers be held in order to inform the farmers to obtain alternative farming space as the illegal activity is causing an unhealthy environment.

Councillor S Nonkeyizana reported that a child drowned in the dam on the farm, neighbouring the phase 9 illegal occupants on erf STE 20-19.The Subcouncil 2 manager informed the meeting that the Subcouncil resolved at two subsequent meetings that the item be discussed in depth at the next Activity Day.
Two discussions were arranged and the officials accepted. However, the specific item was removed from the agenda. Ald M Nieuwoudt requested that the City Manager again be alluded to the health hazard. Cllr B Hansen informed that the Mayor was aware of the situation as he visited the area. RESOLVED unanimously by Subcouncil 2

That proof be submitted of Risk Register of the City;
That a detailed report be submitted to the next Subcouncil 2;
That the matter be discussed in depth at the next Act meeting.
