UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that the following comments be noted:
That an application for a liquor licence received from GRAVITY ONE CLIMBING AND FITNESS was considered in terms of sub-delegated authority and that the following recommendation was forwarded to the Liquor Authority in terms of the Western Cape Liquor Act, 2008, as amended:
Subcouncil 16 recommends that the application for a Consumption ON Premises Liquor Licence, reference no. LLA1806017, for the business GRAVITY ONE CLIMBING AND FITNESS NOT BE SUPPORTED>
This application cannot be supported, as it is not appropriately zoned (see from Planning Department). The applicant must first apply for Consent in terms of Section 42(i) of the City of Cape Town’s Municipal By- Law, 2015 to permit the sale of alcoholic beverages.
