Subcouncil supports the recommendation that:
That the motion submitted by Cllr G Peck be supported and recommends that the Sub council approach the Traffic Department and Transport Network Development to investigate building of taxi stops on Steynsrust, Irene & Scholtz Roads and opposite Waterstone Village on both sides of the road. The taxi drivers just in the road way, block and disrupt the traffic. By introducing taxi points (similar to a bus stop) traffic flow will not be affected.

Response to email from Cllr Peck dated 5 Feb 2019:
Thank you for the update. Does that include the closing of the road on the corner at Scholtz into Hospice? And will the stop street be moved?
Meeting date: 11/02/2019
Response to email from Geraldine Franklin dated 11 Feb 2019:
It does not include the closing of the road on the corner of Scholtz service Road and the moving of the stop street. The hospice’s emergency vehicles still uses this service road. This is outside our departments responsibilities as well and will be quite a process.

Response to email from Cllr Peck dated 11 Feb 2019:
Have discussed this with your office on site, with Traffic officers , with the roads department. It is now for the officials to get together and decide who’s department will take the matter forward.
