The Subcouncil Manager Kayise Nombakuse informed the members of the current status of both Capital and Operating Ward Allocation projects’ expenditure as reflected on PCER. Responsible Line department officials also commented on various projects. • CPX.0010808- F1- Ohio Sport Field- Mr S Adams reported that R198 000 committed a site meeting is scheduled 19/4/2018. • WPX.0009810- Recreational Programmes Ward 47 - Easter egg hunt event was held Assigned R76 315 • WPX.0009821 Sport Carnival- Mr S Adams reported that he will schedule a meeting with Cllr A Cassiem to discuss date for the festival. • CPX.0010831-F1- Upgrade of NY 134 Park- Assigned R58570 • CPX.0010829-F1- Upgrade of Anthony Park Silvertown- Contractor anticipate to install rubber matting 30April 2018 • CPX.0010830-F1- Upgrade Lenaria Road Park Silvertown- Project completed. • CPX.0012916-F1- Upgrade Parks Heideveld- Contractor busy on site installing fencing. Cllr Moses informed the official that he must not sign off the final invoice because the gate is smaller than the height of the fencing. Attention: A. Manjathi • CPX.0003443-F1- Upgrade of Cockscomb Park- Cllr Moses commended Phumza Mde who has performed in an outstanding manner e.g. site visit in the midst of gangs. Good contractor performance and constant monitoring of projects as well continuous engagement with ward Councillor. • WPX.0009946- Capacity Building Programme-Project complete. • WPX.0009902- Job Creation-Employed 8 workers Project in progress • WPX.0010110- Sports Tournament Youth - scheduled event during end April 2018. Action: P. Gxasheka. T. Bidla • Upgrade of Jungle Park, Contractor does not want to work in the area due to safety reasons. Approval will be sought to have funding moved and earmarked for another project. • CPX.0004312-F1- Contractor is expected to be on site by first week in June 2018 should no appeals be received. Only consultants’ fees to be claimed by end June 2017. The budget is therefore to be reduced to account for consultants fees only in 2017/18 financial year. Virements to be approved:R2 936 000 to be transferred to C16.00101-F3: Heideveld ECD (Social Development & ECD) and R250 000 to be transferred to CPX.0003434-F1: Upgrade of Park: Lwandle • Job Readiness Programme/Youth Organisational Skills Ward 40 and Ward 44 joint event scheduled to Hermanus camping site scheduled 8 -10 June 2018, focus Capacity building for children. Mr A Abrahams scheduled a meeting with Cllr A Moses and B Ngcombolo together with Line departments are busy finalising event. • CPX.0004321-F1 NY 116 Gugulethu Synthetic Pitch- Bid Evaluation Committee scheduled meeting on 28 March 2018 with SCM to look at recommending the second highest scoring vendor, awaiting outcome. The members of the Subcouncil requested a joint report from Mr T Bidla for tabling at Subcouncil meeting scheduled for 23 May 2018 on all the facilities falling under the jurisdiction of Subcouncil 11. • Detailed information including but not limited to Statistics of vandalism and costs for repairs • Provision of security and costs • Upgrading of facilities • Outstanding maintenance and upgrading issues in each facility • Existing Users • Challenges The Subcouncil members NOTED the information.
