Mr Wilson Baartman represented the Property Department.
UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED to RECOMMEND that the lease of portion of public street, being a portion of Erf 652 Hout Bay , situated at Worcester Street, Hout Bay, shown hatched and lettered ABCD on the Plan LTV267v1, marked annexure A attached to the report, in extent approximately104 m², to Ms Liezel Matthee, owner of Erf 2953 Hout Bay or her successors in title, BE APPROVED subject to inter alia the following conditions, that:
a)A tariff rental of R791,00 per annum excluding VAT of 14% where applicable, being R110,74 (in total – R901,74) be payable;
b)The lease will endure for a period of ten years with an option to renew for a further ten years;
c)The rental will be adjusted annually in terms of the rental tariff structure as approved by Council;
d)Payments of annual rates will apply if applicable;
e)The property be used for gardening and security purposes only and no structures, other than the existing structures, will be permitted within the lease footprint;
f) Subject to such further conditions to be imposed by the Director: Property Management in terms of her delegated authority;
g)Subject to compliance with any other statutory requirements;
h)No compensation will be payable for any improvement made to the property.
i)All outstanding accounts with the City of Cape Town must be settled;
