15/10/18: Item 16 SUB 39/10/18 - UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that, as recommended by the Transport Department, the following traffic calming measures be approved for implementation in accordance with the respective drawings attached to the report:
a)One at-grade pedestrian crossing be introduced along Upper Orange Street at the Homestead Park pedestrian gate.
b)The intersection at Montrose Avenue/Upper Orange Street be raised and implemented in a manner which mitigates the negative impact on public transport passengers, depending on the availability of funding.
c)Montrose Avenue/Upper Orange Street intersection be converted into a 3-way stop control.
d)An at-grade pedestrian crossing and appropriate signage be introduced midblock between Rosebank Place and Prince St, north of the MyCiti bus stop.
e)A formalized pedestrian crossing be introduced parallel to Upper Orange St at the intersection of Belmont Avenue.
f)An at-grade pedestrian crossing and appropriate signage be introduced between Rayden St and Belvedere Avenue.
g)Painted islands be introduced within the intersection of Molteno Road and Belvedere Avenue to guide vehicles through the intersection and improve the sight lines for vehicles exiting from Belvedere Avenue.

Remains outstanding 19/03/18: Email from Cllr Golding d/d 27/02/18 - It was as per my request that the assessment is held over or gets reviewed post the approval of the St Cyprians development application and the traffic management plan. 19/02/18: UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that: a)the report be NOTED. b)Item 16 SUB 43/02/18 be dealt with together with Item 16 SUB 49/02/18. c)an on-site inspection be scheduled with Mr Deon Manuel of the Transport Department about both items 43 and 49/02/18.
