RESOLVED ON 14 AUGUST 2018
Cllr B van der Merwe proposed that the date be determined by the Subcouncil and that the Ward Committee Members also be invited to the Public Emergency and Disaster Risk Centres.
The meeting agreed that the items be closed and removed from the Matters Receiving Attention.

a) That the Subcouncil Manager determine the date for the site visit and the Ward Committee Members also be invited to the Public Emergency and Disaster Risk Centres.

Mrs Hermanus informed the meeting that the scheduled visit to the Disaster Risk Management Centre was cancelled by Ms Charlotte Powell due to the emergency exercise at Koeberg Nuclear Plant scheduled for 20 June 2018.

Ms. Jansen informed the meeting that the Subcouncil has consulted Ms Charlotte Powell who is arranging the site visit for 20 June 2018.

Ms. Jansen informed the meeting that a date for the site visit will be planned for May 2018. Cllr B van der Merwe proposed that the Subcouncil also arrange a site visit to the Emergency Communication Centre for the local Community Police Forums (CPF’s) and Ward Committees.

The chairperson requested a site visit to the Public Emergency Communication and Disaster Risk Management Centres be arranged and the presentation on the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) be presented there.

Cllr Kleinsmith explained that ward councillors are not informed when fires occur in the various wards. The Disaster Risk Management Centre would at times request the ward councillors to submit a report on the incidences and provide full details of those affected.
Ms B Allison undertook to convey the concerns of the Subcouncil to Ms Estelle-Mare Le keur and suggested that a presentation be done to Subcouncil 6 on the standard operation procedures of the department.
The meeting agreed to note the report.

b) That a workshop be arranged and the Public Emergency Communication Centre be invited to do a presentation on their standard operating procedures.

Ms P Jansen said that she has not received the SOP of the Public Emergency Communication and that she will follow up on this matter.
Cllr Jaftha requested that a flowchart be provided.

That the Quarterly Report: Public Emergency Communication Centre: April to June 2017 BE NOTED.
That the Public Emergency, Fire and Disaster Risk Management Services submit their Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to Subcouncil 6 for distribution to all councillors.
That the information missing from the column from April to June 2017 be provided to the Subcouncil via email.
