18/09/17: On the 16/08/17 this matter was deferred to allow engagement between ward councillor B Golding and the Transport Department. Cllr Golding advised that only a pre-school would benefit and not the rest of the community. UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that the recommendations from the Transport Department to the request of Varsity Street (between St Michael’s Road and bay View Avenue) be converted to a one-way in the up (south bound) direction is NOT SUPPORTED due to lack of adequate support from the neighbourhood. 16/08/17: UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that the request for traffic calming measures (one-way street): Varsity Street, Tamboerskloof BE DEFERRED to the next Subcouncil meeting to allow engagement between ward councillor B Golding and the Transport Department
