Resolution detail

UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED It be NOTED that an application for a liquor licence received from The Street Kitchen was considered in terms of sub delegated authority and that the following recommendation was forwarded to the Liquor Authority in terms of the Western Cape Liquor Act, 2008, as amended: SubCouncil 07 recommends that the application for a Consumption ON Premises Liquor Licence, reference no. LLA1705014, for the business The Street Kitchen NOT BE SUPPORTED. For the following reasons: 1. The applicant does not have the necessary Certificate of Acceptability for Food Premises in terms of Regulation R962 dated 23/11/2012 promulgated under the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act, 1972 (Act 54 of 1972) for the preparation/provision of foodstuffs and an Item 1 business licence in terms of the Businesses Act, 1991 as amended. 2. The business is run from a mobile unit within a free standing tented structure and does not have any ablution facilities or a portable wash unit . There is a unlawful tent structure on the premises which requires plans which need approval from the Fire and Rescue department and if any gas is used on the premises, the same would apply. No building plan was received and no approval thereof could be found, therefore this is an illegal business. ACTION: CARIN VILJOEN cc: Nicolette Smit / Laurisha McGregor / Patricia Giliomee
