Cllr Peck reported that the one has been done in Firgrove and the other one is a Provincial road which won’t be done, but that the community is happy and suggested that the item be removed.

• Ms Geraldine Franklin and Ms Melani Ohlson was invited to the Activity Day meeting to provide feedback on the matter but they did not attend.

• Cllr Peck reported that he received a response from Ms Franklin on the 17th October 2017 that she put this motion on her priority list but the other bus stop, they did a check and that there should be an embayment. But his concern is that they want to put a bus shelter in Grove street and did not do an investigation to see how much people are using it.

• Cllr Peck reported that he has a couple of questions on the report that came back and said that they don’t need complaints coming from the public, but it came from the ratepayer’s association. He said that he would like to know what they intend doing as they do not make any recommendation. The report reflect only plans and photos.

• Cllr Peck reported that he met with Ms Franklin on site and that the report should be attached.

• Cllr Peck reported that he met with Ms Franklin on site and said that she will speak to Ald Pringle to take one of the bus stops next to the Police Station in ward 84 to Grove Road because people stand there in the rain waiting for the bus to Tygerberg Hospital.
• The other one is on Macassar Road, where the bus stops in the road and they have agreed with the Cllr. The report reflected on the agenda is not what they have agreed to and will take up the matter with Ms Franklin.
• The Chairperson responded that he also requested to move bus stop shelters to Chris Nissen Park with Ms Franklin and then was an agreements and disagreements and now he hears that that they want to ask about the one for Firgrove.

a) That a meeting be arranged with the officials, Ald Pringle and Cllr Peck to sort out the discrepancies.
b) That the item REMAIN on the MRA.

That the motion submitted by Cllr G Peck be SUPPORTED and that Sub-Council 24 approaches the Traffic and Roads Department to investigate the possibility of bus stops and stop shelters in Firgrove.
