Subcouncil 18 recommends that the lease or purchase of portion of public place, being a portion of Erf 124966 Cape Town situated at Manitoba Crescent, Steenberg, shown hatched and lettered ABC sketch NP 26263 marked annexure A, in extent approximately 116 m², to Glen Solomon, owner of Erf 124985 or his, Cape Town at Steenberg successors in title, be approved subject to inter alia the following conditions, that: a) A tariff rental of R 742.98 per annum excluding VAT of 14% where applicable, being R 104.02 (in total – R 847.00) be payable; b)The lease will endure for a period of ten (10) years with an option to renew for a further ten (10) years; c)The rental will be adjusted annually in terms of the rental tariff structure as approved by Council; d) The land will be used for security purposes only and no structures other than existing vibracrete wall will be permitted within the lease area; e) Subject to such further conditions to be imposed by the Director: Property Management in terms of her delegated authority; f) Subject to compliance with any other statutory requirements; g)Electricity services exist within the vicinity of the leased area and the following condition will apply: I). Any alteration or deviation to electricity services necessary as a consequence of the proposal, or requested by the applicant, will be carried out at the applicant’s cost. h) Where a water meter exists, it should be accessible for water meter reading and maintenance purposes by City of Cape Town. i) Telkom services are shown to exist within the vicinity and following conditions are to apply: I. It is the responsibility of the applicant to notify Telkom immediately should the applicant locate Telkom Plant which might not be indicated on the plan. ii. It must be made known to the applicant that Telkom requires access to carry out maintenance or upgrade existing plants at all times. j) No compensation will be payable for any improvement made to the property. k)Application to Purchase/sale be refused as per branch comment as asset needed to provide the minimum level of basis Municipal services. l)All outstanding accounts with the City of Cape Town must be settled
