UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that:
An administrative penalty of R 5 000.00 BE DETERMINED for the unauthorised building work in terms of Section 129 of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, erf 1948 at 39 Romelia Crescent Street, Blue downs, in line with the contravention plan attached as Annexure B.

REASONS FOR DECISION
The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s Report and agreed to the following changes:

Amend reason 6.2 as follows:
6.2 The unauthorised building work has been ongoing since 1998, which is considered to be very long.
Amend reason 6.3 as follows:
6.3 The extent of the unauthorised building work is considered to be large (approximately 61m2 = 22% of the site area).
