RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY:

That an administrative penalty in the amount of R4500-00 BE DETERMINED in terms of Section 129 of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 in respect of Erf 8817 Grassy Park for operating an unauthorised ECD Centre from a portion of the property in accordance with the plan attached as Annexure B.




REASONS FOR DECISION:

The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the planner’s report and added an additional reason that reads as follows:

6.8. The fact that 34 vulnerable children are at risk because health and safety checks have not been undertaken warrants an increase in the penalty amount.
