UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that:
a. The application for permanent departure for the encroachment of the 4.5m street building line to 2.5m to permit the flats on Remainder Erf 2157 Strand BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, subjects to the conditions attached as Annexure A.
b. The application for permanent departure to allow for 0 parking bays in lieu of 6 bays on Remainder Erf 2157 Strand BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, subjects to the conditions attached as Annexure A.
REASONS FOR DECISION
The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s Report and agreed to amend reason 7.1.2 as follows:
7.1.2 The proposed change of use does not require a major structural change to the current dwelling unit, but rather minor internal alterations.
