Resolution details

UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that:
a. The application for Permanent Departures relating to Schedule conditions as set out in Annexure A, for Erf 1719, Green Point, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, in accordance with the plans attached as Annexure C2, subject to the conditions contained in the attached Annexure A.

b. The application for Permanent Departures to permit two loading bays in lieu of three, for Erf 1719, Green Point, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, in accordance with the plans attached as Annexure C2, subject to the conditions contained in the attached Annexure A.

c. The application for City Approval as set out in Annexure A for Erf 1719, Green Point, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, in accordance with the plans attached as Annexure C2, subject to the conditions contained in the attached Annexure A.

d. The application for subdivision as set out in Annexure A in respect of Erf 1719, Green Point, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, subject to the conditions contained in the attached Annexure A.

REASONS FOR DECISION
The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s Report

Amend point ‘a’ in paragraph 2.2.1 in Annexure A as follows:
a. Loading and unloading shall not be permitted to take place on Main Road.

Amend paragraph 2.2.2 as follows:
2.2.2 A landscaping plan to address the treatment of all street facades by means of landscaping and architectural treatments.


Amend condition 2.3 as follows:
A construction method statement shall be submitted for the satisfaction of the authorised official (Development Management) which must include reference to measures taken in respect of erf 608 Green point and surrounding properties. That the measures suggested in the Tree Report of 21 June 2021 are implemented and that the excavations and other construction activities are monitored by an independent tree specialist.
