RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY that:

That an administrative penalty in the amount of R1500 for the unauthorised building work BE DETERMINED in terms of Section 129 of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 on erf 8598, Grassy Park be approved in terms of section 98(b) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015.

REASONS FOR DECISION:

The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s report and added an additional reason that reads as follows:

6.4 The misleading information given by the applicant about the duration of the unauthorized building work warrants a larger penalty.
