Resolution details

RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY that:

a. The application for consent in terms of Item 40(b) of the Development Management Scheme for a place of instruction on Erf 65105 Cape Town at Kenilworth, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, subject to the conditions contained in Annexure A.

b. The application departures, as set out in Annexure A, for Erf 65105 Cape Town at Kenilworth, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015.

Condition 2.1.2 is amended as follows:

2.1.2 The maximum number of learners permitted to be taught on the property at any one time, shall not exceed 40.

REASONS FOR DECISION:

The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s report, except reason 7.1.2 which is amended as follows:

7.1.2 The proposed place of instruction is associated with and complimentary to an existing school on the adjacent property.
