Resolution details

UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that:
a. The rezoning of Rem Erf 7075, Somerset West, from Agriculture to General Residential Zone I BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, subject to the conditions contained in Annexure A.

b. The subdivision of Rem Erf 7075, Somerset West, into 27 group housing erven, 3 private open space erven and 1 private road erf, as indicated on plan no FP/0916/843 rev 9 dd 10/10/18, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, subject to the conditions contained in Annexure A.


c. The Site Development Plan for Rem Erf 7075, Somerset West, to permit a group housing estate of 27 units, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, subject to the conditions contained in Annexure A.

REASONS FOR DECISION
The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s Report and agreed to:

Amend:
6.1.2 A group housing complex controlled by a Site Development Plan with specific building platforms and managed by an Owners Association will ensure appropriate management of the complex and associated environmental areas

New 6.1.3 The design provides an appropriate degree of fit and compatibility with the surrounding area

Renumber old 6.1.3 to be 6.1.4 etc.

Delete old 6.1.5

Update numbering sequence

Annexure A:
Delete 2.1.4

Add a bullet to point 2.1.6:
- Management of the architectural guidelines
