RESOLVED that:
a. The application for subdivision of erf 6361, Parklands, into two portions, as set out in Annexure A, BE REFUSED in terms of Section 98(c) (iii) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015.
b. The application for Council’s approval in order to permit development within the Koeberg Restriction Area Overlay Zone for erf 6361, Parklands, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) (iii) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015.
REASONS FOR DECISION
The MPT APPROVED the application of the density overlay zone to permit development within the Koeberg Restriction Area Overlay Zone.
The MPT REFUSED the subdivision application for the following reasons:
7.1.9 The small plot size with irregular cadastral boundaries of the remainder is not contextually appropriate
7.1.10 No detail is provided to explain how parking and vehicle circulation will occur on the property
