UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that:
a. The application for the Rezoning of Erf 1126, Somerset West from Single Residential Zone 1 to Local Business Zone 2 to permit a Place of Instruction to operate from the property, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 subject to the conditions contained in Annexure A.
b. The application for permanent departures to permit more than one carriageway crossing on Erf 1126, Somerset West, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015.
c. The application for permanent departure to relax the minimum width requirement for a single carriageway crossing to 2.5m in lieu of 2.7m, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015.
d. The application for permanent departure to allow for an entrance and exit way in excess of 8m, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015.
e. The application for permanent departure to permit the vehicles to reverse across the sidewalk when leaving the site BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015.
REASONS FOR DECISION
The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s Report.
