RESOLVED

That the application for consent use in respect of Erf 911, Kuils River to allow for the erection of a 15 m high monopole mast with domes BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98 (b) of the Municipal Planning By-law, 2015 in accordance with the attached Site Plan No ATSA140 A03/06 PRO Rev A, subject to the conditions contained in Annexure A.

CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL IMPOSED IN TERMS OF SECTION 100 OF THE BYLAW

Condition 2.1 is amended as follows:

2.1 That the development of the property to be in accordance with the attached site plan no ATSA 140 A03/06 PRO Rev A, attached as annexure C, provided that the street light indicated is omitted.

REASONS FOR DECISION:

1. The proposed 15 m high freestanding monopole mast and telecommunications base station installation complies with the principles of the Telecommunication Mast Infrastructure Policy, 2015, in terms of the camouflage design, placement on the subject property and co-location opportunity.
2. The proposal is considered desirable in terms of the Municipal Planning By-law, in that it will not have a significant adverse impact on the surrounding land uses and which impact is mitigated by the design of the mast.
