That it be NOTED that an application for a liquor licence received from JASON SUSHI & RESTAURANT (PLATTEKLOOF) was considered in terms of sub-delegated authority and that the following recommendation was forwarded to the Liquor Authority in terms of the Western Cape Liquor Act, 2008, as amended:
SubCouncil 03 recommends that the application for a Consumption ON Premises Liquor Licence, reference no. LLA23020006, for the business Jason Sushi & Restaurant (Plattekloof) NOT BE SUPPORTED for the following reasons:
Town Planning : Not supported.
Jason Sushi at 1 Keurboom Plattekloof is located on erf 21848, Parow that is zoned for local business 2 purposes. The facility includes a sit-down restaurant. The use as a restuarant is currently unauthorised as a consent use application is required for a restuarant and sale of liquor on this property.
A business licence application was also refused recently by my Section for the above reason. The owner/operator therefore needs to submit a consent use application to LUM and only if approved can my section respond favourably to a liquor licence application.
