Resolution detail
In view of the above, it is RECOMMENDED that:
-
Subcouncil 17 SUPPORT the motion to revisit a previous motion submitted in 2008 to Subcouncil 12 to rezone a section of the Mitchell’s Plain sports fields for housing opportunities, office and business zoning;
b. That the outcome of the pilot project undertaken at Lwandle be, communicated to Subcouncil 17.

The Subcouncil Manager, Goodman Lulamile Rorwana reported that a due-diligence report was received and presented. The project manager would engage the area manager to confirm which pockets of land can be transferred to property management for development as suggested by the study conducted on JQ and JP.
