UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that:
a. The application for Consent Use in order to operate a Boutique Hotel from Erf 8719, Somerset West consisting of guest accommodation, spa, conference centre and a public restaurant, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 subject to the conditions contained in Annexure A.
b. The application for Amendment of the approved Site Development Plan (SDP) No. 0461-kliphuis-pt1028-20141028 which bears Council’s stamp dated 30/05/2017 by the replacement thereof with SDP No 0798-barnett-lot8717-20180925 dated 25/09/2018, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015.
REASONS FOR DECISION
The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s Report and agreed to amend:
6.1.4 The development does not constitute further urban sprawl.
Add to Annexure A:
2.5 No more than 44 parking bays shall be permitted
2.6 The restaurant space shall be limited to 160m2
2.7 No meals shall be served after 22:00
