Report abuse of City vehicles

The abuse of vehicles in the City’s fleet increases maintenance and repair costs that impact on the public purse. If you experience a City vehicle being abused or misused, and would like to report it, you can follow the guide below.

How to report the abuse of a City vehicle

You can lodge a complaint if you do not feel like your request was dealt with satisfactorily.

The City views the misuse of fleet vehicles very seriously. These assets are used to deliver services to our residents and should not be exploited for other purposes.

Every vehicle in the City’s fleet is installed with on-board computers.

A sticker has also been fixed to the majority of Assets and Facilities Management (AFM) vehicles which displays contact numbers to report vehicle misuse while on the road. The sticker is not placed on safety and security vehicles.

If you have seen a City vehicle being abused or misused, then you can report it via the following channels:

Please include in your report:

  • as much detail of the incident as possible
  • the individuals and officials involved in the incident
  • the time and date when the incident occurred
