Register for e-Services
Our online services will help you manage your municipal affairs and other City services using
one login. To activate these services, please follow the registration process below.
How to register on the e-Services portal
You only need to register for e-Services once. If you have already registered for e-Services,
login here.
PLEASE NOTE
The e-Services application does not fully support mobile phone or tablet access – please use your laptop or desktop instead.
Our applications are best viewed using the latest versions of the following web browsers:
Microsoft Edge 138+, Google Chrome 138+, Mozilla Firefox 139+, Apple Safari 18+, Internet Explorer 11 – Final version: 11.0.9600.22617 (Note: End of Life – use Microsoft Edge in IE Mode if required).

Make sure that you provide correct and up-to-date contact information, and have your municipal account and property information close at hand.
Before you are able to activate your municipal account on e-Services, you need to first register on the e-Services portal.
Step 1: Create a profile using your ID number and contact information.
Step 2: Once your registration is approved, you will receive a confirmation email with your username and password.
Once you have registered you can reset your password.
Register as an individual or sole proprietor
With an e-Services profile, you can access our jobs portal, manage your invoices and balances, renew your licence, use our development application service (DAMS), and more.
You will need:
- your ID number as well as a copy of your ID to register for different online services
- your business partner number, which is the reference number the City uses to identify you on the system, found on the third line in the header of your municipal account statement
Step 1:
Create a profile using your ID number and contact information.
Step 2: Once your registration is approved, you will receive a confirmation email with your username and password.
Step 3: Activate a specific service using your business partner number, ID number and other relevant information.
Step 4: Once you have applied to activate the service, we will take a few days to verify your information before granting you access.
Register as an organisation
Step 1: Complete the organisations
online registration form.
To register you will need:
- a valid business email address
- a
letter of authorisation giving you permission to create an e-Services profile for your organisation (you can use the template in the document downloads section below)
- your business partner number
- your South African ID, or a passport if you are a foreign national
Step 2: You will also need to provide a form as per your organisation type:
- You will need to provide a registration certificate if your company is a private company, Section 21 (non-profit) company, public company, incorporation (professionals), co-operative, state-owned company, or external company.
- If your company is a close corporation, you must provide a founding statement or amended founding statement.
- If your company is a trust, you will need to confirm your acceptance by completing the Trust as Trustee for All Members Form.
- If the company is a sectional title or body corporate, you must provide the identifying document of the person acting on behalf of the group, with signatories.
- If the company is a partnership, you will need to submit the partnership form in the document downloads below.
Step 3: Once you have registered, you can activate the services you require through your e-Services account. For more information, please consult the guides below.
What you can do
Once you have registered for e-Services and created a profile, you can activate the services you need:
Update your details
Make sure that you keep your e-Services profile up-to-date with your current details so that we can contact you.
Please note
Due to technical issues, you cannot update your personal details online via your e-Services profile.
If you need to update your details (contact details, name, email, address etc.), contact our Call Centre on
0860 103 089 or email
accounts@capetown.gov.za. Alternatively, you can visit one of our
Walk-in centres to request an update.
