<h2 class="sectHeading">About</h2></span>
<p>Registered NPOs who submit a business plan will be considered for the operation and management of a shelter that delivers accommodation and developmental services. </p><p> The facility is located in the Cape Town area and accommodates 300 people who were previously sleeping rough on the streets.</p><p>If your business plan is chosen, you will enter into a Facility Management Agreement (FMA) with us. </p><h4>Facility details</h4>

<h2 class="sectHeading">Funding applications</h2><p>The NPO who applies to the Facility Management application
<strong>must also
<a href="https://www.capetown.gov.za/City-Connect/Have-your-say/surveys-and-submissions/funding-for-shelter-operations">apply for the funding application</a></strong>. </p><p> NPO’s that do not submit a funding application will not be considered for this process (Facility Management). The two processes are linked and will be evaluated as part of one integrated decision. </p>

<i class="info note"></i> </div><div class="desc"><h4>Please note</h4><p>We are required to follow the Supply Chain Management processes when selecting and appointing an external registered NPO to operate from a City-owned facility. Preference will be given to NPOs that already render developmental services within the locality of the earmarked facility and that have been registered as NPO’s for five (5) years or more.</p></div></div></span><span>

<p>The business plan must include a detailed operational strategy and an integrated sustainability plan that will practically show how services will be rendered at the facility to people sleeping rough on the streets.</p><h4>The following important documents must accompany your business plan:</h4><ul><li>Business plan </li><li>Management plan </li><li>Copy of the constitution </li><li>NPO management structure </li><li>NPO sustainability plan </li><li>NPO staff profiles with copies of certified educational qualifications </li><li>Updated tax clearance certificate </li><li>Letter/s of recommendation </li></ul><p>
