<p>As the City of Cape Town, we are committed to providing the best service delivery to our residents. Part of that is listening to, and working with you to continuously improve as an organisation.</p><p>We understand that valuable ideas can come from a variety of sources, including staff, residents, businesses, suppliers, etc. So, we have created the Open Innovation platform to gather useful information, ideas and solutions to help us deliver the best service to you. </p><p>Using the platform, you can submit your ideas that you believe will help us enhance our services to all the residents of Cape Town.</p><p>Anyone can submit ideas, from residents, innovators and researchers to suppliers, partners and more. What’s more, your solution can cover any of the City’s services, from water and sanitation, energy and housing, to parks and recreation, transport, safety and more. </p>

<h2 class="sectHeading">Evaluation criteria</h2></span>
<p>Each idea will be evaluated with the following criteria in mind:</p><ul><li>Potential impact on the City’s service delivery and/or socio-economic impact</li><li>Technical merit and novelty of the proposed solution</li><li>Time and resources required to implement the idea</li></ul><p>Please see our

<h2 class="sectHeading">Submit your ideas</h2></span>
<p>To have your submissions considered, all you need to do is submit a proposal detailing the solution you recommend, along with supporting documentation, if necessary. We will review your submission and, if it’s viable, we will contact you for more information. </p><p>The submission and subsequent process is as follows:</p><ul><li>
<a href="https://web1.capetown.gov.za/web1/websitefeedback/?id=44306adf-eaf3-4aef-a880-58d85930df05" target="_blank">Submit your idea online</a>.</li><li>We will review each submission and you will receive a response within approximately 14 working days.</li><li>If we would like to hear more about your idea, we will invite you to a pitch session.</li><li>We will then consider implementing the successful ideas, within the approved processes of the City, e.g. advertise a tender process, etc.</li></ul><p>We welcome all ideas and look forward to receiving your innovative solutions. </p>
