<h2 class="sectHeading">About</h2></span>
<p>By embracing innovation, inclusion, and the power of human connection, we want to build an Integrated Facility that serves as:</p><ul><li>a place of knowledge and a catalyst for positive change; </li><li>a vibrant and inclusive community hub that promotes lifelong learning, creativity, and social engagement; and </li><li> a transformative space that empowers individuals and strengthens the social fabric of the community.</li></ul><p>The proposed new facility, adjacent to the Abattoir Sports Ground along Gordon’s Bay Road, will include:</p><ul><li>the new library; </li><li>additional walk-in services for the community; and </li><li> much-needed office space for various line departments. </li></ul><p>Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 16(1) (a) of the Municipal Systems Act that the City’s Community Services and Health Directorate intends to develop a new integrated facility. </p><p> In terms of section 17 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000, you can submit comments and recommendations to the municipality in respect of the proposed facility.</p><p>Access the <a href="https://resource.capetown.gov.za/documentcentre/Documents/City%20strategies%2c%20plans%20and%20frameworks/Suider_Strand_Integrated_Facility_Design_Plans.pdf" target="_blank">draft concept design plans</a>.
