Comment on the City’s draft ground level map<span> <h2 class="sectHeading">About​​​​​​​</h2></span> <p> The City’s <a href="">Development Management Scheme (DMS)</a>, which is a schedule to our <a href="" target="_blank">Municipal Planning By-law, 2015 (MPBL)</a>, applies to all land in the geographical area of the City - including land owned by the state – and each land unit in the City has a zoning. </p><h4>The DMS states, amongst other things: <br></h4><ul><li>The land uses and development rules for all zonings, meaning the purpose for which land is or may be used lawfully. </li><li>The requirements, restrictions and/or conditions that set out the permissible extent of the land use in terms of the zoning. </li></ul><p> In addition, it provides the applicable definitions, interpretations, general provisions and overlay zonings that may be applicable to that land. </p><p>Item 3A of the MPBL states that the City must approve and may amend - from time to time- a ground level map.
