<p>In accordance with section 11.5 of the
<a href="http://resource.capetown.gov.za/documentcentre/Documents/Bylaws%20and%20policies/Management%20of%20Certain%20of%20the%20City%20of%20Cape%20Towns%20Immovable%20Property%20Policy%20-%20approved%20on%2026%20August%202010.pdf" target="_blank">Management of certain of the City of Cape Town’s Immovable Property Policy </a>(adopted by Council on 26 August 2010 C54/08/10) and Chapter 2 of the Municipal Asset Transfer Regulations (2008), we are considering the transfer of the following City-owned property:</p>

<p>We plan to transfer the abovementioned property to the
<strong>Apostolic Faith Mission of South Africa</strong>, by means of a direct transaction<strong>, </strong> for community purposes.</p><h4>Information statement</h4><ul><li>The capital asset to be transferred is valued at R 110 000.00 (excluding VAT), discounted for community or social care users by 75% of the market value, and the sale price would therefore be R110 000 x 25% = R27 500.00 (excluding VAT and transfer costs). </li><li> The reasons for the proposal to transfer or dispose of the capital asset is because it is not required for provision of minimum level of municipal services. </li><li> The expected benefits to the Municipality that may result from the transfer or disposal; Council will receive a financial benefit in the form of the sales price as well as future rates and services charges in respect of the property. </li><li> The expected proceeds to be received by the Municipality from the transfer or disposal, will be market value, future rates and services charges. </li><li> The expected gain or loss that will be realised or incurred by the Municipality arising from the transfer or disposal; Council will not make a loss, but a gain on receipt of market value, future rates and services charges. </li></ul><p>In terms of section 17 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000, you can submit comments to the municipality in respect of the proposed transfer.</p><p><a href="https://resource.capetown.gov.za/documentcentre/Documents/City%20strategies%2c%20plans%20and%20frameworks/NoxoloSt_Lwandle_Strand-Lease_Plan.pdf" target="_blank">Access the disposal plan</a>.</p>
