<p>In accordance with section 16.5 and 16.6 of the
<a href="http://resource.capetown.gov.za/documentcentre/Documents/Bylaws%20and%20policies/Management%20of%20Certain%20of%20the%20City%20of%20Cape%20Towns%20Immovable%20Property%20Policy%20-%20approved%20on%2026%20August%202010.pdf" target="_blank">Management of certain of the City of Cape Town’s Immovable Property Policy </a>(adopted by Council on 26 August 2010 C54/08/10) and Chapter 4 of the Municipal Asset Transfer Regulations (2008) we are considering the lease of the following City-owned property:</p>

<p>We plan to lease the property to
<strong>Boston Private School </strong>for private school purposes. </p><h4>Information statement<br></h4><ul><li>The reason for the proposal to grant a long-term right to use control or manage the relevant asset – Granting the proposed lease will generate a monthly market rental income for the City. </li><li>The expected benefit to the municipality that may result from the granting of the right – The City will benefit from this proposed lease in terms of receiving revenue. </li><li>The expected proceeds to be received by the Municipality resulting from the granting of the right – The City will receive the proceeds of a rental income of Rental of R88 000.00 per month inclusive of rates and exclusive of VAT for a period of 10 years. </li><li>The expected gain or loss that will be realised or incurred by the Municipality arising from the granting of right – No loss will be incurred by the City arising from the granting of right. </li><li> The proposed transaction includes a call for alternative proposals. The call for alternatives is not limited to a single bidder and should include the following criteria:
<br>Rental of R88 800.00 per month inclusive of rates and excluding VAT<br>Private school purposes<br>Compliance (mandatory): Only complete, legally compliant submissions are considered.
<br>Location and Accessibility (20%): Proximity to learners, transport access, and traffic safety.
<br>Site Suitability (20%): Size, infrastructure availability, environmental constraints, expansion potential.
<br>Planning Alignment (15%): Consistency with zoning and municipal planning frameworks.
<br>Socio-Economic Impact (15%): Community benefits, job creation, and addressing schooling demand.
<br>Feasibility (15%): Financial capacity, experience, and implementation readiness.
