<p> In accordance with the
<a href="http://resource.capetown.gov.za/documentcentre/Documents/Bylaws%20and%20policies/Management%20of%20Certain%20of%20the%20City%20of%20Cape%20Towns%20Immovable%20Property%20Policy%20-%20approved%20on%2026%20August%202010.pdf" target="_blank">Management of certain of the City of Cape Town’s Immovable Property Policy</a> (adopted by Council on 26 August 2010 C54/08/10) and Chapter 2 of the Municipal Asset Transfer Regulations (2008) we are considering granting the rights to use, control or manage the following City-owned properties:<br></p>

<p>We plan to grant vehicle operators rights to use, control or manage the abovementioned properties for a period of 24 months post the current expiry date of 31 October 2025 for depot and staging area purposes.</p><h4>Information statement</h4><ul><li>
<strong>The reasons for the proposal to grant a right to use, control or manage the relevant capital asset. </strong><br>The proposal will have an immediate and positive benefit to the City of Cape Town and its citizens, in achieving several of the City’s IDP strategic objectives, in becoming a world class City that creates opportunities and enables an environment for economic growth and sustainable development by providing MyCiTi bus services. </li><li>
<strong>Any expected benefits to the municipality that may result from the granting of the right. </strong><br>The expected benefit to the City is the enablement of an environment for economic growth and sustainable development by providing MyCiTi bus services. </li><li>
<strong>Any expected proceeds to be received by the municipality from the granting of the right. </strong><br>The expected proceeds are the financial benefit in the form of MyCiTi fare revenue. </li><li>
<strong>Any expected gain or loss that will be realised or incurred by the municipality arising from the granting of the right. </strong><br>The municipality will suffer no loss and instead will make a gain in the form of financial benefit of fare revenue.</li></ul><p> In terms of section 17 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000, you can submit comments to the municipality in respect of the proposed sales. </p><h2 class="sectHeading">Comment period</h2><p>Submit your alternative proposals from
