<p>If you are a high school learner or university student you can jo shadow a City staff member, while university students can also apply for vacation/field work.</p>
<p>
<strong>Please note: </strong>These are unpaid positions and the City will not cover transport or food-related costs, however we may remunerate for fieldwork and vacation programmes.</p>

<h2 class="sectHeading">Job shadow positions</h2></span>
<p>Job shadowing entails following a professional for a few days and observing their day-to-day work. It is an excellent way to see what a job really involves and can also help you decide which qualification to study or career path to take. </p>

<h4>How to apply for a job shadow position<br></h4></span>
<p>You will need to be a South African citizen who lives in Cape Town and you should be in high school or attending university.</p>

<span><h2 class="sectHeading">Other opportunities</h2></span><h4>Field work</h4><p>Field work allows final year students to complete work that aligns with their studies, to obtain their qualification.
