Apply for a learnership
Learnerships allow you to learn the practical skills of a trade and acquire experience within the field. You can apply for a learnership following the instructions below.
If you want to apply for a learnership, you will first need to register for e-Services.
The e-Services application does not fully support mobile phone or tablet access – please use your laptop or desktop instead. Our applications are best viewed using the latest versions of the following web browsers: Microsoft Edge 138+, Google Chrome 138+, Mozilla Firefox 139+, Apple Safari 18+, Internet Explorer 11 – Final version: 11.0.9600.22617 (Note: End of Life – use Microsoft Edge in IE Mode if required).
Visit the City’s job search app and view the ‘Learnerships’ section to see which opportunities are available. If there is an opportunity in your field, you can submit your application and all related documentation using the contact information provided in the job description.
