Apply for free water and sanitation for flats and complexes
If you are indigent and live in a block of flats, cluster homes or in a sectional title complex, you can apply for free water and sanitation from the City. Please note that this only applies to developments that are predominantly residential.
Indigent households in Cape Town receive 6 kilolitres of free water per month.
Step 1: Download and complete the Number of Dwelling Units in a Cluster Development Affidavit Form from the document centre below
Step 2: You can submit it, and the relevant documentation at any City walk-in centre.
Include with your application:
A City of Cape Town water inspector will conduct a site visit to verify the number of units and once the application is processed, you will be notified of the outcome of your application.
