FAS Educational Initiative
Learn about the FAS Educational Initiative
The programme uses a specially designed baby simulator doll that teaches pupils about the effects of FAS on children, as well as the realities of child care,
substance abuse, and emphasises
abstinence and safe sex. The simulator cries and its facial features resemble a child born with FAS. Although there is no cure for FAS, the programme aims to teach 12 to 18 year olds that FAS is 100% preventable.
